Following the snowfall in the northern part of the country, cold has started to increase in many parts of Gujarat as well. Naliya recorded the lowest temperature of the season with 10.5 degrees. Cloudy weather, on the other hand, has raised concerns among farmers. The winds will blow at a speed of 40 kilometers per hour for the next four days due to the impact of Western Disturbances. Scattered rains are also expected in many parts of Saurashtra, including North and South Gujarat, from November 18 to 20 in the state. Winter crops may be damaged following Mawtha forecast in the state.

The meteorological department has forecast light to moderate rains in Valsad, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Amreli and Bhavnagar on the 17th. The rest of the weather will be dry. On 18th, light to moderate rain may fall in Dang, Navsari, Surat, Tapi, Valsad, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Amreli, Gir Somnath, Junagadh, Bhavnagar, Diu. On 19th, light to moderate rain is expected in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Anand, Dahod, Panchmahal, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath and Diu. Also on 20th, light to moderate rain may fall in Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli. At this time the wind speed can reach 40 kilometers per hour.


Northeast winds are blowing in the state

Northeast winds are blowing in the state. Due to which cold has been felt in the early morning. The minimum temperature has dropped due to cold winds. North-easterly winds are currently blowing from the ground level. The meteorological department has forecast that the minimum temperature will drop by 2 to 3 degrees over the next four to five days. Meaning the cold will subside. However, the city still experiences a cold snap late at night and early in the morning. People in the capital Gandhinagar are also experiencing severe cold. Ahmedabad recorded a low of 18.1 degrees today.

Cyclonic circulation system formed in the Bay of Bengal

The Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation System created in the Bay of Bengal is moving towards the Arabian Sea, following which the humid winds coming towards Gujarat will collide with the cold winds currently coming from the North East. That further changes in temperature during the night are unlikely. The coldest temperature in the state was recorded at Naliya with a temperature of 11.4 degrees.
