Following the snowfall in the northern part of the country, cold has started to increase in many parts of Gujarat as well. Naliya recorded the lowest temperature of the season with 10.5 degrees. On 19th, light to moderate rain is expected in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Anand, Dahod, Panchmahal, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath and Diu. Also on 20th, light to moderate rain may fall in Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli. At this time the wind speed can reach 40 kilometers per hour.

Northeast winds are blowing in the state. Due to which cold has been felt in the early morning. The minimum temperature has dropped due to cold winds. North-easterly winds are currently blowing from the ground level. The meteorological department has forecast that the minimum temperature will drop by 2 to 3 degrees over the next four to five days. Meaning the cold will subside. However, the city still experiences a cold snap late at night and early in the morning. People in the capital Gandhinagar are also experiencing severe cold. Ahmedabad recorded a low of 18.1 degrees today.
